Boilermaking

Boilermaking

The boilermaker is the trade that consists of manufacturing equipment from metals such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, lead, etc. The boilermaker’s mission is divided into three main steps.

CONCEPTION

The boilermaker first studies the design that will allow him to make the object. The boilermaker reports life-size on the sheet metal the indications of form provided by the drawing: it is the tracing of the ribs.

Then he cuts the pieces using a shear, ribbon saw or torch. All that remains to be done is the shaping of metal parts, by different processes: bending, rolling, planing, stamping, etc. Then comes the step of assembly by welding-pointing, rivet, staple, glue, etc.

SLEPI is able to handle all types of projects: consulting, subcontracting, manufacturing, assembly and testing, final acceptance with the customer.

MONITORING THE SITE

If he is working on a very large structure, such as a paved power plant or industrial piping, he will have to go to the site with his team to assemble the structure on site after having manufactured it in the workshop.

PRODUCTION AND MAINTENANCE

We work on two types of maintenance, preventive maintenance, or curative maintenance. In both cases, our goal is to provide you with the best possible service, while limiting the production downtime.

After installing the final product, some boilermakers are tasked with maintaining and repairing this industrial equipment.

WATER JET CUTTING

Water jet cutting is a manufacturing process that uses a hyperbaric water jet to cut the material
Water, or more precisely the fluid, may contain additives, in particular to facilitate the cutting of the material. The water-jet cutting with added abrasive allows the cutting of steel, aluminium, stainless steel, plastic, etc. in thicknesses up to 100 mm.
Water jet cutting offers many advantages:

– High precision cutting
– Total preservation of the molecular structure of the cut product
– Ability to weld heterogeneous materials
– Cutting complex shapes
– Cutting of hard materials: hardened steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.
– Fall Optimization
– Low water consumption
– Environmental protection
– Rapid depreciable investment
